IT finalllly happened. After all this hard work and tenacity, I got the much needed break. THE LEGENDARY CHITRA stumbled into this blog and was totally shocked by my skills and to realize that I am just a basement singer. The Nightingale herself immediatley made some key intros and arranged for me to record a song with her. Before I realized what was happening, I recorded my first song with "THE CHITRA".
The song came out really well and while WE were sitting in the studio and reviewing the song my daughter kept disturbing me saying "Daddy I have a bad soar throat and I really need water ...". I said "Baby I am really busy right now, can you please ask Amma to get you the water", for which she replied "Daddy you are just sleeping, can you please wake up and go down to get water for me ..." and rolled me out of bed and made me realize that I was in this beautiful dream world :). Thats how this blissful DREAM of mine ended folks :) .
The next morning I said, well technology is so good that I don't need this dream to come true for me to record a song with Chitra. I can do it irrespective of the fact that Chitra doesn't even know that I exisit in this earth in a corner. Here is the outcome of this dream. The song is "Yaaro Yaarukul ingu yaaro" from Chennai 28. It is one of the great songs in recent times (didn't become a big of a hit as it should have been) rendered by SPB and Chitra. Excellent clean lyrics By Vaali and incredible music compostion by Yuvan.
After hearing my version I realized why I am just a basement singer :). Hope you enjoy the song, and as always, appreciate your time and honest feedback.

Thanks for stopping by Rajesh.
waah that was a lovely rendition of a beautiful song. the write up was interesting too, keep the faith bro...some wishes do come true.
Hi TC, you have got really good voice & its unique . I just felt that you can add more sangathis.
For Ex. the lines :
Nindrai ingu "minnal" keetrai
nitham vaangum "moochu" kaatrai
Minnal and moochu were plain. But overall very nice rendition.

Hi TCR :)....Finally back to checking blogs....The last one month was crazy...and the craziness is bound to continue until November 5th....GOOD rendition....and yes we all dream about it....I've always done that with Sonu Nigam :) :D....intha paatula konjam pitching problems irundhudhu....this song is very difficult I guess....If you keep up the shruthi...then expression goes and vice versa....But overall a nice try :)....Keep singing :)
Thanks Roshini. Appreciate the wishes. But I know that dream is too far fetched and was just kidding mostly :). But if that ever comes true be assured that I will let you and Nandita know as soon as possible.
Welcome to the Blogging world Abi. Thanks for those great comments and valuable suggestions. Will try to refine those on the next go around.
Hi Priti, thanks for stopping by and the comments. I wish you all the best for your dream to come true too :). I am sure with Sonu Nigam on the side singing might be a bit more difficult than normal :). I really appreciate your sharp observation and comments as always. Recently I started using a condensor mic and had to use headphones. With the headphone I am having a tough time staying on pitch even with the simplest songs for some wierd reason. If you (or anyone who reads this) have any knowledge about such an issue and how to get around it, I would really appreciate it.
TC ...great singing my friend ...I guess you are becoming an expert with SPB songs ....you have mastered his voice throw :-)
Also it was pretty interesting reading ...I have played cricket with Kapil and Sachin ...offcourse in my dreams ;-)

Thanks Harshan, for the visit and generous compliments as always. If your dream comes true please make sure you carry your medical insurance card with you to the stadium :). Just kidding ofcourse. Hope to hear more of your songs from now on and catch up on all the lost time.
NVK Sir, it is an honor indeed to have you in this space and those encouraging comments. I have been a silent fan of yours ever since I heard you CINCINIVOICE. It would be of great honor to have your feedback to improve myself. I am also playing the second innings. But unfortunaltely I never played in the first innings. Started music very late in life and finally here and having fun.
