Another Gem from KJY

Last week I tried to record yet another golden song from KJY/IR, Amma endru from the Movie Mannan. It is a great melody based on Kalyani raagam. It sounded simple until I tried it :). Took a while to make it sound even reasonable. I can't believe the age at which Yesudas sang this song. He is incredible. Please point out the flaws if you have the time ...

Excellent selection of song...I've always loved this song...one of the first few KJY gems..that I've heard...very well sung..."adhai neeye tharuvaye" is rendered extremely well....One small observation...it would be great if you could stress on the words more....If you do understand Tamil.." innum konjam azhutham thiruthama padina romba nalla irukkum"..that'll do wonders for this song...that reassurance...and that bhavam will be brought out much better :)

Sowmya, thanks for the time and comments.

Thanks Priti for the keen observation and feedback. I guess I was focusing more on the notes and concerned about messing up the Kalyani raagam and ended up paying less attention to the words and meaning. Will try and improve and if I COULD I will repost the song :).

It is wonderful to have people like you point out things like this that goes easily unnoticed when I am looking at diff. aspects of the song. Thanks to technology :) and ofcourse the enthued audio bloggers like us.

Excellent Singing.
Very good flow and twists all over the song. Good timing also.
I could notice very few corrections like 'Short' coming of 'Petra thai indri' in pallavi and sounding of 'Uir'. Claps...

Thanks Naveen for your time, compliments and keen observation. When is your next song?

Thanks for visiting Harshan. Man your latest song rockkkks. This song is from a son to his bedridden mom. But I think as Priti pointed out I might have to do a better version with appropriate emotions in the words.

Thanks Anonymous :). Can you please disclose your identity so that I can mail the moneyorder :).
